NME event

Last week the CF national committee organised an event for us at a local bar, encouraging new members to attend so they could find out a bit more about the CF on a national level. Paul Hayes, whose responsibility on the committee is for Social Action, came along to talk to us about how Wirral West really get noticed for the work we do as we were one of the first branches to organise and to take part in regular Social Action projects. Paul is also a good friend of Wirral West as he is standing for council in the upcoming elections in the nearby Wallasey ward and has helped us out in many past events.

We had several new members attend this event, all having a great time and wanting to get much more involved in what we do. One thing that they all mentioned during the night, was how relaxed the talk about politics was - everyone had a chance to give their opinion and everyone listened to each other. Also, conversation wasn't just about politics, we debate on many things such as what the next social event will be - paintballing or pub crawl.
The NME (national management executive) have been very supportive of our CF, always giving us opportunities to try and reach out further in the community. They also include us in a range projects, ensuring that we have a say in what happens in our national Conservative Future. So thanks again for all the hard work they do, we really do appreciate it.
